There are two types of cover:
Under this cover, the policy will pay a sum assured i.e. the amount of cover chosen, upon the first death of an insured family member within 12 months of policy commencement or renewal.

Within 48 hours of claim reporting and full documentation.

The insured lives comprise of the principle member and five members of his/her nuclear family i.e. spouse and four children or five children for single parents. An additional dependant (child) and parents can be covered at an additional premium depending on the preferred benefit level. Children are covered up to the age of 18 or up to age 24 if they are still under parents care and in school/college. The minimum age at entry for children is 3 months. The upper age limit for the principal member, spouse and parents is 75 years at entry and Maximum exit age at 85 years subject to continuous cover renewal.

There is a waiting period of 3 months from the date of commencement of the policy and subject to payment of full premium.
In case of natural death within the waiting period no benefit is payable. There is no waiting period for accidental death.
On policy renewal, the full premium should be paid within 30 days of cover renewal. If no payment is received within the 30 day grace period, the cover automatically lapses.

In the case of the single claim cover, the policy lapses on making one claim, however one can renew the cover immediately for the remaining members of his/her family. In the case of the multiple claim cover, the cover will lapse after 3 claims are made within 12 months of policy commencement or renewal.

Risk covered arising directly or indirectly or traceable to any of the following events are excluded.
(a). Active participation in war whether declared or not, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, riot, civil commotion or any act of any person or persons acting on behalf of or in connection with any organization the object of which are to include the overthrowing or influence of any de jure or de facto government by terrorism or by any violent means or any other acts of violence originating from any political or civil unrest.
(b). Aviation, except for fare paying passengers and crew of airlines and private flying purely for transport purposes.
(c). Atomic energy and/or nuclear fission or reaction.
(d). Intake of illegal drugs, self-medication, overdose or use of drugs that have not been prescribed by a registered medical practitioner.
(e). Participation in any hazardous sport or pursuit including rock climbing, scuba diving, hang-gliding and aided speed contests of any kind.
(f). By intentional self-injury or attempted suicide (whether felonious or not), provoked assault or fighting (except in bona fide selfdefense).
(g). Directly or indirectly by or contributed to by or arising from ionizing radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel.
